Spanning the vast landscapes of Mongolia and Russia, SÚTRA is a journey through remote valleys, high mountain passes, vast open plains and unpredictable conditions. From the wide-open landscapes of Mongolia to the remote territories of Russia, the route crosses two countries and constantly changing terrain.

SÚTRA is a self-supported, single-stage bikepacking race. There is no outside support, the clock never stops, and every decision — from pacing and navigation to resupply and where to sleep — is part of the race.

The route covers approximately 1,700 km with around 17,000 metres of elevation gain, crossing Mongolia and Russia through remote landscapes, high mountain passes, gravel roads and long stretches without resupply. Riders should expect challenging terrain, river crossings, rapidly changing weather and the demands of travelling independently across a vast and sparsely populated region.
