Unfortunately, participation for foreign riders will not be possible in 2027. The border crossing used for the race is located in a remote and difficult-to-access area and currently allows passage only for citizens of Russia and Mongolia.
However, in 2028 we plan to use a different border crossing between Russia and Mongolia, which should allow citizens of all countries to cross.
We hope to welcome international riders to the race in 2028

Ultra-distance bikepacking races
We craft self-supported bicycle races that are as beautiful as they are demanding. Starting with our inaugural event at Lake Baikal, we've created experiences that combine Siberian and Asian wilderness with the ultimate test of self-reliance.
BBR DNA
In 2025, we created the Baikal Bikepacking Race — the first self-supported bikepacking race on Lake Baikal. What started as a single event gradually grew into a community of people driven to ride further, cover greater distances and venture beyond the usual cycling routes.
After two seasons, the idea grew beyond Baikal. We realised that we had created not just a race, but our own approach to building races — combining challenging territories, self-reliance, exploration and a strong community.
This is how Bikepacking Races came to life.
The platform brings together different races, territories and formats. Each race is unique, but they all share the same DNA.
